- Organize your dealt tiles on your rack. Put your tiles in order by suit and in number order. This helps you see what you have so you can look for patterns.
- Scan the NMJL Card and look for sections that match your tiles. We're choosing a section not a line/hand!
- Choose a section. Choosing a section gives you a starting place for the Charleston, so you know what to keep and what to pass as you work to build your hand.
